Johnny English (2003)

Tonight, i just want to refresh my memory by watching a very funny movie played by Rowan Atkinson, Johnny English. I remember the first time watching this when i was still in my hometown, on the warm afternoon after came back from school.
This movie seems to be a spoof of the James Bond series, where Johnny English is the incompetent fool of spy. After the explosion in the graveyard which killed the entire agents of MI5, Johnny English is the only one, excited yet not-so-smart agent, who is left. Therefore, Pegasus assigned him to do the tasks of protecting the crown of Queen of  England. Along with his sidekick, Bough, he make the whole story completely funny.
Johnny always do things carelessly. Start when he's checking the incoming attendant of funeral and saying, "You're  now entering the most secure location in the whole of England." and then right after that, the bomb exploded. Ahahaha..  Then he make Pegasus secretary faint with the "special pen"; chasing the suspect while driving the car which is in the "crane-car" because he parked it in the no-parking area; ruined a funeral of a family in which he thought it was a fake but it's not; landed in the wrong building - Instead of landing in Pascal Sauvage office, he landed in the its-twin-building which is hospital; smuggling to the prison in France with Lorna Campbell - A woman whose also involved in this story, and so on.
Johnny English is always messing up the plan but always find an excuse for that. Wkwkwk,, it's just so funny watching Atkinson playing this character. Bough, English's sidekick is always there to save him, anyway. So, no need to worry. haha
The whole story is Johnny English who is trying to save his country from an attempt to overthrow the British Royal Family and take over the throne of Britain. English has already confess to his boss, Pegasus, that Sauvage is responsible for this matter, but his boss does not believe him. But, fortunately, English finds a way to arrest Sauvage, with he's eventually crowned as the King. Ahahhahah..

My Review :

This is definitely one of my favorite drama.
I've had this drama in my HD for so long but had no idea that this drama is worth watching.
at first, i think it's just an ordinary drama, but as soon as i watched it, I've become addicted to the story line and the acting of the actor/actress.
even though i watched it after work, i finish watching this only about 3-4 days.

The story is about Ma Hye Ri, a woman who just graduated from law school. At her graduation day, she intend not to attend the workshop for the prosecutor just for going to Gioberni products launching. In there, she planned to watch together with her best friend, YooNa. Unfortunately, YooNa can't make it, so she was there at the ski resort by herself. She coincidentally meet with Seo in woo, a lawyer who go for a holiday there.

Watching it at first, you will have the feeling of watching Legally Blonde. Just like Elle Woods, Ma Hye Ri is a fashionable girl, who are head-stone at the same time. Everything that her seniors told her, she can give a reply in a very irritating way but what she's saying is not wrong. Watching her at the beginning of the episode can make you feel like choking her with something or what because her personality. But don't get annoyed with that for too long, cause the longer you watch, you'll see how she become mature as the problem arise.

Seo In Woo, is a very charming guy who just come back from America. He is a lawyer and set his lawyer company in Korea. Towards Hye Ri, In Woo can be considered as her guardian angel. In Woo is always there whenever Hye Ri needs help. I think i'm absolutely in love with the character of In Woo here. ahaha..
Park Shi hoo plays the character of Seo In Woo perfectly. At the beginning i have no idea that In Woo is the male lead for this drama. I thought it would be Yoon Se Joon, the guy to whom Hye Ri has a crush. Yoon Se Joon is the widower with one daughter. He lost his wife from cancer. Se Joon is very sorry that he didn't spend much time with his wife because he's too much concern for work. Therefor, Se Joon closed his heart for any woman.

In here, Seo In Woo helps Hye Ri to get them together. But later, Hye Ri realized that the man whom she's in love with is not Yoon Se Joon but Seo In Woo.
But the twist that this drama has, you'll never imagine it before.
A very good drama to watch. :)
