Rain Drops

I do love rain. :)
For me, rain delivers the feeling that i always longed for. The feeling of comfort. The feeling of fresh breeze. The feeling of home.
The title of this posting is in Indonesian words.
"Mendung, adem, & sejuk"
which technically means cloudy and cool. The two latest words are similar in meaning just different way of describe. :)

When the rain comes, i tend to spend my time watching it from the window of my room or the terrace of my house.
Even just watching the rain drops falling, it gives me feeling of peace.
I just sit there and feel the atmosphere.
Sit there and let my thoughts go on wander.
Sit there and let my heart feel the warmth.


I don't know why, i just love nature.
I love the green color of the grass and meadow.
I love the smell of the ground after the rain stops falling.
and i love the cool breeze of the wind when it's raining.

It's just all soo pretty to me.
When it comes to the weather that i love at most, i think it'll be rain.
I don't know how the snow feels like. Because I've been living in the equator area of the earth for a long time where no snow is falling in here.
But, even though i know what the snow feels like...  i think i will always love the rain.

It's been so long that i posted my "letter no.1"
Now, I'm about to  post my second one. :)
Actually, it's not easy for me to post such things like this because I don't express my feeling publicly.
I'd rather keep it inside and become only my own thoughts and  reflection.
But, sometimes, i think we need to reveal some parts of  our thoughts.
Not because we want all of the people to know it, but it's because we need to make our heart feel relieved.
Sometimes i think i keep too much things inside and save it for my own.
I'm not complaining about that. I like it, though.
I already get used to with it. I used to solve my own problem by myself.
And I did it really well.
But, deciding to post this letter here, is just to make whoever you - who is reading this posting right now - understand the life from my perspective.

I have come to this far. My 20th birthday had passed several days ago. You can say that it's time for me to enter the adult world. Then one question came up in my mind, "what will i do from now on?"
I feel like I'm entering the world in where i should stand alone. It feels like the world demand me to be tough.
Every single of my friends who knows me well, will say that I'm really strong. It's true. Yet, one thing that most people didn't realize is deep down inside, every girl is still fragile.
When you look only from the outside package you will only see the figure that is shaped by the experience and persistence that is built by my own. It's only when you look closely, then you can see what it is like.

In this life, we might facing the similar problems more than one time. The thing that might be re-occur could be like love-life problem. One thing that i realized from my love-character is that it's not easy for the boys to steal my heart. Yet, from what had done in the past, the one who steal it doesn't even know that he has it. It's really a pity.
I don't really express my feeling well, yet it's impossible for me to tell what's inside. Then, it ended up being hanging up that i believe will soon fade with time.
Well, i always questioned how long will it take? To be honest, I don't even know the answer.
One thing that i believe is when the right one has appeared in front of me, with him I'd be able to do what i couldn't do before.
For the past of mine, i once heard a quote that i remember at most:
"Maybe we should meet the wrong one before meet the right one so that, when we finally meet the right one, we will know how to be grateful for that."

Shooter (2007)

Shooter is a story about Bob Lee Swagger, played by Mark Whilberg, who is a very good sniper. After a mission in Ethiopia which leads to his best friend dead, he then retired and live in a very secluded area. One day, there are some people come to his house and claim to be secret agent of the military of government. They give Swagger mission to plan the assassination of the US President. Not to execute, but to plan only. They said that the president of America is in danger because there is enemy who infiltrate within their organization and they don't know who is it. At first, Swagger refused to do it right away, but the leader, Colonel Isaac Johnson, played by Danny Glover, still try to persuade him and explain in detail the schedule of President until the next two weeks, the time of the assassination expected to be taken.

At the end, Swagger agreed to do it and do thorough checking in which place and how the assassination is potentially to be done. At the execution day, Swager is there along with the special agent, watching the president doing his speech. Unexpectedly, the shot is heard aiming for the president yet the bullet missed the target. The president is safe. At the same time, Swagger heard another shot within his room and it turns out that he's shot by the local police of the organization.

As the matter of fact, everything has been planned before. Swagger is framed. With two shots on the chest, he run away with the stolen car from one FBI agent that he met. Before left, to that FBI agent named Nick Memphis, played by Michael Pena, Swagger explain that he didn't kill the president.

Swagger managed to escape from the police who chased him. He then heading towards Keene City, Kentucky, to meet Sarah. Sarah, played by Kate Mara, is the girlfriend of Swagger's best friend who died in Pakistan before. With the help from Sarah, Swagger can heal the scar and slowly recovered.

Meanwhile, the FBI agent - Nick Memphis, is still wondering about the thing that Swagger said to him, that he didn't kill the president. Because of his curiosity, Memphis trying to reveal what's hidden behind this case.

When Memphis is about to reveal the gaffe that he found, he was kidnapped and was about to be killed. Then when he's about to lost his consciousness, someone helped him. It's Swagger.

After he saved Memphis, both of them are becoming friends and work together to reveal the truth and tracking who's the shooter. With the help of Memphis's friend on the FBI, the girl named Alourder, played by Rhona Mitra, they found out that the shooter is the one Swagger met before in the organization.

They went to Lynchburg, Virginia, and began to pursue Mikaylo Sczerbiak. After investigate Sczerbiak, Swagger found out about the fact behind the Ethiopia case also about the conglomerate senator from Montana, Charles Meachum, whose hiding behind this all. Before suicide, Sczerbiak also inform him that they had taken Swagger's girlfriend, means they have kidnapped Sarah. Right after that, the house was surrounded by the army that Colonel Johnson sent. Yet, Swagger and Memphis can still escape again.

Memphis then called FBI office and hoping they will track them. It works. FBI tracked them, so do Johnson. Soon after that, Johnson calls Swagger and they make the deal where to meet.

On a full-snow mountain, they met and Swagger managed to kill all the sniper that Johnson and Meachum paid for kill them. They saved Sarah and meet the senator. When the FBI came, Swagger decided to surrender so that he can go to the court.

In the court, Bob Lee Swagger reveal everything but since Johnson has high level people who support him, they cannot get him to the prison. Yet, the Attorney General Russert, who also clearly showing his objection to Johnson after knowing his dark background, freed Swagger. I personally like the character of the Attorney General in here. Very firm and full with the sense of justice.

After his freedom, Swagger run after where the Johnson and Meachum are hiding. He kill them all. Just like the words that Attorney General said to Swagger before freeing him, "For the record, i don't like the way it's turned out anymore than you do. But this is the world we live in. And justice is not always prevailed. It's not the wild west where you cleaned up the streets with the gun, even though sometimes it's exactly what it's needed.

Hi, long time no see..

here, I'd like to show you about a movie that i watched last night. Penelope.

The story is about a girl who got cursed with a nose which looks like a pig. The witch who cursed Wilhern family said that the cursed will be broken if 'one of her own' learns to love her and her mother thinks that Penelope, played by Christina Ricci, must marry a man of noble birth. Therefore, her mom, played by Catherine O'Hara, set up a date and matchmaking her with any man who came. It turns out that nobody wants to marry her, even to be close with her, because of her face. Everyone run after seeing her.

One day, Lemon, a photographer who really wants to get the picture of Penelope since she was still a baby, asked a guy from the bar to pretend wants to get close with Penelope. His name is Max Campion, played by James McAvoy. Shortly speaking, finally Max Campion agreed to do what Lemon says and go to Penelope's house. On that day, because of Penelope's mom's effort for matchmaking her, many men came including Max. After seeing Penelope's face, everyone run, except Max. Not because he wants to stay, but because at the time Penelope entered the room he fell down and was hidden under the chair. 

Penelope who had already get used to when seeing people run away from her, now shocked that somehow Max Campion is still in the room. By then, they chat and talking about what they like, about this and that. Actually, Max Campion come there in order to get a picture of her with a hidden camera under his coat. But, because he didn't get a single one, then he planned to come again next time. Lemon and Edward Vanderman, a man who used to be one of the candidate for marrying  her, are very upset that Max didn't get the picture.

Then, he came again and again. Max and Penelope exchanged words through a one-way mirror. Max still cannot see her but Penelope is still watching what Max doing through it. Max encouraged her too see the world that she's never saw before. And when finally Penelope shows her face, yes Max is shocked but he didn't run. It's Penelope who run after that because of she afraid that Max won't come again. Then, when Penelope's family drag him away, Penelope asked Max to marry her, but Max said that he couldn't give what Penelope wants. She interpret it as if Max doesn't want to marry her. Max stops going to that house and asked Lemon and Edward to stop as well.

Penelope feels broken-heart. She then feel the courage to escape and see the real world. She then managed to go away and visit all the place in town that she'd like to visit. One day, she met Annie, played by Reese Witherspoon, in a bar. They become friends without Annie knowing how Penelope's face because it's always covered with a scarf. 

One day, because run out of money, Penelope sell her own picture to Lemon who said that he will give $5,000 for those who can get the picture of hers. She then become very famous. Everyone in the town loves her and she get very much affection from the public. Only after that, Edward wants to marry her, in order to get good image. Max which actually not a blue-blood, yet a son of pipemen, named Johnny Martin, saw it then try to cancelled the wedding. Actually, at that time, Johnny refused to marry Penelope not because he doesn't want to but he knows that the cursed can't be broken if Penelope marry someone which is not 'one of her kind'.

At the end, the wedding ceremony is still happening. Edward cannot do other thing but to do his "I do" part. Yet, Penelope, who see that Edward is not sincerely wants to marry her, said no and run away. Her mother run after her. Penelope said that she doesn't want this marriage and said "I Like myself the way i am" 

... and then, the cursed is lifted ...

her face is back to normal.

Everything goes well after that. 

Penelope now trying to find Johnny again. With the help of Annie, she managed to find him again and meet him when the Halloween party with a mask on. Even with a mask on, Johnny still recognized her and then they get together. And they live happily ever after.. \(^v^)/

Review
 I finished watching this drama on June 28th. This drama is really high recommended. It has so many twist in the story that can really surprise you when the time has revealed them all. It is started with the friendship between Kim Hyun Joon and Jin Sa Woo during the military service. Both of them are really close just like brothers. One day, they're kidnapped and somehow ended up in the place where they were tortured and trying to escape from that place. Soon after that, they realized, that it was the part of entrance test for becoming NSS. NSS is a secret organization that is only known by several people and lead by Baek San. It exists to help the government to defend the country. It was established under the governance of the former president of Korea. But, later when the presidential election held and the authority goes to the new president, then NSS revealed its existence to the president and his subordinates.
Hyun Joon and Sa Woo were eventually becoming part of this secret organization. They were surprised when they found out that their supervisor is Choi Seung Hee. Seung Hee is the girl to whom Hyun Joon and Sa Woo are in love with. Even though both Sa Woo and Hyun Joon do not know each other that they are in love with the same girl. But, later, Sa Woo found that Seung Hee's heart is belong to Hyun Joon, instead of him. With the very poor heart broken, he keeps it inside without telling his best friend.
One day, Hyun Joon was given an individual assignment. A very dangerous assignment. He was given an order to assassin the Yoon Sung Chul, the party leader of the Supreme People's Assembly in North Korea. This is it. It's the beginning of Hyun Joon fate. Right after the mission, so many things happen to him. Through his journey, he revealed the secret of the past one by one.
After becoming fugitive for everybody, then he found out that the friends have become enemies and vice versa.
During his escape, he missed Seung Hee very much and both of them are trying to find a way to never gonna be separated. But, with so many barriers, they have to face it one by one.
So many twist in this story will make you surprised of how fate can shape a human life. Everything was not a coincident. And the ending is really really, reaally unexpected at all.

I personally think that this is one of the best drama that i have ever watched. :)

 1.  *there are something that i'm curious about* *what is it?* *why did you kiss me so suddenly  that day? Was it challenge or was it love?* *I think.. it wasn't just a kiss, but it was because from those beautiful lips of yours, crude words were pouring out. I just wanted to shut it for a bit.* *Then.. I will have to say lots of crude things from now on.*
2. When Sa Woo visit Seung Hee who works as florist, when she is still on her grieving because she thought Hyun Joon is dead.
    "what flower is it?" | "Iris" | "it's pretty" | "In Greek mythology, the river to the underworld was called iris. For me, it's not a pretty flowers but a sad flower. Hyun Joon likes iris."
3. When Hyun Joon and Seung Hee are in front of the lake with the golden statue.
"they say this statue has a sad story. A beautiful woman named Tachiko used to live here. She was in love with a man named Tarou. But Tachiko wanted to become a more youthful, beautiful woman, so she drank from a mystical spring and fell under a spell and become a dragon that protects this Lake Tazawako. And Tarou also become a dragon that protects Lake Towada way over there. The two of them, who were separated like that, meet here in this lake when winter comes, to share their love. They say it's because of their unchanging love for one another, that this lake never freezes." | "It's not sad, but scary" | "Why?" | "So what you're saying is that because those two people just wanted to love each other they turned into monster in different places?" | "Monsters?
